Mission
The Pediatric Research Society (PEDAD) is a non-profit civil society organization established with the aim of supporting scientific research in the field of child health and improving the quality of pediatric healthcare services at both national and international levels.
The Association adopts as its core mission the promotion of scientific knowledge production in all areas related to child health, with a particular focus on pediatrics and neonatology.
In this context, it seeks to contribute to the academic development of physicians, researchers, and healthcare professionals working in the field of child health.
PEDAD supports a multidisciplinary approach that integrates scientific methodology, research ethics, the history of science, and the philosophy of science into pediatric research.
The Association considers strengthening scientific thinking and disseminating a robust research culture among its primary responsibilities.
It creates platforms for scientific exchange by organizing national and international congresses, symposia, courses, and workshops.
Through these activities, it promotes the dissemination of up-to-date scientific knowledge and encourages the sharing of experience among professionals.
Supporting young researchers constitutes a fundamental component of the Association’s long-term vision.
Accordingly, it aims to develop scholarship, award, and research grant programs.
PEDAD contributes to the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge by supporting academic publishing, including books, journals, articles, and reports.
It seeks to enhance professional competence and ensure continuous knowledge updating through ongoing educational activities for healthcare professionals.
The Association regards raising public awareness in the field of child health as an important social responsibility.
In line with this responsibility, it conducts informative and educational activities aimed at the general public.
PEDAD aims to develop joint projects in cooperation with national and international academic institutions and civil society organizations.
Through these collaborations, it strives to strengthen scientific interaction on a global scale.
The Association carries out all its activities within the framework of scientific independence and ethical principles.
It operates on a voluntary basis and refrains from engaging in any political activities.
Through its Scientific Advisory Board, it ensures academic quality and adherence to ethical standards.
PEDAD aspires to become an active and respected scientific organization in Turkey and on international platforms.
